JAPHTN-HAN provides immediate open access to all content, based on the principle that free access enhances the global exchange of knowledge.

The journal is preserved through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), and all content is archived in the CLOCKSS Archive and the Global LOCKSS Network with the publisher’s permission. JAPHTN-HAN also collaborates with LOCKSS administrators to ensure proper governance, legal frameworks, and sustainable access.

Authors are allowed to deposit their work in institutional or disciplinary repositories and on personal websites. Pre-print versions must include a citation and link to the final published article in JAPHTN-HAN once available. Post-print versions (including the publisher’s PDF) must also include a citation and link to the journal’s website.
